ABOUT ME
After 25 years of Corporate life I decided to change career and do what I love. I am now a qualified Soft Tissue Massage Therapist. My goal is to help people live a better life, helping them take responsibility for their own bodies with the aim of improving their health and fitness. I take a holistic approach treating the cause, not just the symptom.
I am a fun loving, dynamic person who has always been very sporty and active. Well-being and fitness has been a major part of my life. When I was younger they advised a ‘desk job’ was the secure thing to do, this meant all my fun activities were done after hours while holding down a job as an accountant in the city.
Trained in Deep Tissue/ Sports massage, I use massage techniques like: Soft tissue release(STR), Post Isometric relaxation (PIR), Reciprocal Inhibition (RI), effleurage and petrissage; helping clients with stress reduction, rehabilitation and postural alignment. Sports massage has a reputation for being painful and intense, I don’t work like that. I meet the body where it want to be met, being effective without causing any pain.
Example of my work - I’m currently working with a client who has a pacemaker and was suffering with chronic lower back injuries. Through her sessions we have reduced the pain and enabled more mobility to the point that she is now playing tennis.
